ZAPATA Awarded $100M U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Contract
On June 28, 2010, the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Omaha District notified ZAPATA that it had been selected to provide Military Munitions Response Services at sites across the Continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and U.S Territories. The scope of this contract includes environmental cleanup of military munitions and associated activities including: Explosive Safety Submission (ESS)/Explosive Siting Plans (ESP) preparation; munitions debris (MD) handling and disposal; construction support; munitions constituent sampling and remediation; geophysical mapping; and geographical information system development and management. The shared contract capacity is $100,000,000 over five years.
