Selected Projects
ZAPATA characterized and excavated more than 2,000 tons of hazardous materials, including 1,750cy of contaminated soil and construction debris, 78 55-gallon drums, Munitions Debris (MD), and a UST with associated piping from 19 locations across the 400-acre site.

ZAPATA is providing the Naval Weapons Station Charleston on-site GIS and AutoCAD Map services for the development and implementation of base-wide GIS and associated services. ZAPATA provides data development, implementation, and program consulting services for other military, civil service, and contractor personnel on the base.

ZAPATA constructed a design/build project to replace the existing fly ash housekeeping pad for electrostatic precipitators at Duke Energy’s Marshall Steam Station. 500 tons of aggregate base courses and 262 cubic yards of concrete were placed and finished in one continuous pour. The new pad included roadway turndown sections of the east and west sides. Adjacent yard areas were graded to ensure proper runoff into existing storm drains. The project was fast tracked and completed in 14 days.

What People Are Saying

"Project was a critical link in the BRAC relocation of FORSCOM/USARC HQs. Schedule, budget, and scope changes made the project extremely challenging. AE was the most professional, cooperative, supportive, responsive, and dedicated design team used in 23 years. There are insufficient adjectives to describe the job they performed on this project."
