ZAPATA is pleased to announce Mr. Kameron Freeman joined the firm as an Architect Intern.

Mr. Freeman has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Prior to joining ZAPATA, Mr. Freeman drafted construction documents and managed architectural projects in the hospitality industry; this included hotel franchises such as Hilton and Marriott. Additionally, he has interior architectural woodwork knowledge, and experience pricing millwork scope that includes: casework, trim, panels, countertops, and custom furniture.

At ZAPATA, Mr. Freeman will assist the firm’s licensed architects with architectural designs and construction document details for building systems, pre-engineered buildings, historical structures, commissioning requirements, infrastructure construction, and new and retrofit projects for government and commercial clients.

Other responsibilities include project schedules, budgets, and design requirements; and the preparation of design plans, project specifications, and cost estimates. Mr. Freeman will examine consultant-prepared design drawings, prepare technical specifications, and review engineering plans for compliance with regulatory policies.

When he’s not at work, Mr. Freeman spends time with his wife Whitney; and two sons, Karson and Kannon.
