Passive Seismic Networks
ZAPATA installs, operates and maintains passive seismic networks used to monitor induced seismicity at active geothermal power plants. Passive seismic networks can also be used in geothermal exploration, the evaluation of dam and power plant sites, and in volcanology. Passive networks provide the spatial distribution of earthquake hypocenters within an area of interest.
