WCP-ZAPATA JV, LLC. Awarded Fixed Price Remedial Action Contract (FRAC)
Charlotte, North Carolina. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific (NAVFAC Pacific) has awarded WCP-ZAPATA JV a Fixed Price Remedial Action Contract (FRAC). This Contract provides NAVFAC Pacific services for performing remedial actions at environmentally contaminated sites located at predominantly Navy and Marine Corps installations and for other Government agencies as required. The sites will consist of those ranked on the Superfund National Priority List (NPL) as well as non-NPL sites, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), underground storage tanks (USTs), and other sites that might require remedial action at various sites within Pearl Harbor and NAVFAC Pacific’s area of responsibility including sites on Guam, Japan, Okinawa, Diego Garcia and other areas in the Pacific and Indian oceans. The award contract ceiling is $30,000,000 shared capacity with a total of four contract awardees over the life of the five year contract.
WCP-ZAPATA, LLC, is a Joint Venture (JV) formed by two established small businesses; Wil Chee-Planning, Inc. (WCP) and Zapata Incorporated (ZAPATA). The JV brings together the longstanding and successful track record of Honolulu-based WCP with significant experience working for NAVFAC and other DOD Agencies in Hawaii and throughout the Pacific and the additional experience, capacity, and resources of ZAPATA, a leading worldwide small business engineering and field services firm. WCP and ZAPATA have worked together on more than 25 projects for DOD clients at locations throughout the Pacific including, all major Hawaiian Islands, Samoa, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands. Each firm has completed numerous projects at other Pacific Rim locations including sites in Korea, China, Japan, Alaska, and Micronesia.
