We are pleased to announce Mr. Caelin Lewis joined ZAPATA as an Electrical EI.

Mr. Lewis is a graduate of North Carolina State University (NCSU), Raleigh, NC, where he received a dual Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and electrical engineering. He is also FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) certified.

Through a summer internship Mr. Lewis worked as an undergraduate researcher for PowerAmerica under the leadership of Dr. Jay Baliga, NCSU professor of electrical and computer engineering. NCSU is one of 15 universities working with the U.S. Department of Energy and industry leaders in partnership with PowerAmerica, and Mr. Lewis was one of several students from across the country selected for this distinctive opportunity. It was here that Mr. Lewis gained valuable experience testing cutting-edge wide bandgap (WBG) semiconductor wafers.

At ZAPATA, Mr. Lewis assists in the planning and designing of electrical, security, and communication projects for substantial new construction, renovation, and improvement projects for real property facilities encompassing highly specialized or unique requirements for military, industrial, and commercial clients. He conducts site visits to document conditions and prepares specifications and cost estimates. Mr. Lewis provides design and quality control reviews of drafting components and subcontractor designs.
