Darcy Hasberry, mechanical designer, has joined the ZAPATA team in Atlanta, Georgia.

We are delighted to have Ms. Hasberry work with our architecture and engineering professionals to create mechanical designs for HVAC and plumbing systems and energy models for the firm’s DoD and major utility clients. Ms. Hasberry will provide mechanical detailing for construction drawings and specifications, and she will conduct site visits to document conditions, create 3D models, and prepare construction cost estimates.

Ms. Hasberry received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (aka Georgia Tech). She is a member of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE).

With over 15 years of mechanical design experience, Ms. Hasberry knows how to work with architects, engineers, and contractors to prepare drawings for new and renovated facilities; this also includes RFP preparation for mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection. She has experience providing mechanical and plumbing designs for a variety of clients, including the U.S. military.

Ms. Hasberry is highly experienced in performing heating and cooling load calculations and designing chilled water and heating hot water piping systems—and she provides designs for sanitary, grease waste, natural gas, storm drain, and domestic water systems.
