Jennifer Snider, CPCM, Joins ZAPATA
March 25, 2026ZAPATA announced Michael (Mike) Good, PE, PMP, US Coast Guard (Ret), has joined the firm as the Director of Business Development. Mr. Good will pursue and identify Federal opportunities that align with the firm’s strengths and services; this includes leading BD pursuits, strategic planning, and developing client relationships with ZAPATA’s Department of War and Department of Homeland Security clients.
Mr. Good is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and a Project Management Professional (PMP). He is based out of Williamsburg, Virginia, and will be responsible for leading ZAPATA’s overall business development and strategy.
Mr. Good served in the United States Coast Guard (USCG) for 22 years at various Naval and Civil Engineering units along the Great Lakes and East Coast. He concluded his military career as an Executive Officer and Director of Facilities, leading the USCG’s largest training center with 800 active duty and civilian staff and delivering resident/non-resident training to more than 12,000 USCG members annually.
Mr. Good attended the US Coast Guard Academy where he received a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Later, he completed a Master of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
Since 1997, Mr. Good has been a member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME); this includes serving as (Past) President of the Central Virginia Post.
