Nicole (Nikki) Fincher Joins ZAPATA

We are delighted to announce Nikki Fincher has joined ZAPATA as a senior accountant.

With over 25 years of business and accounting experience, Nikki brings industry-specific expertise and a successful track record of providing financial accounting services. Her experience includes preparing monthly financial statements/reports, reconciling monthly bank statements, processing invoices, and managing cash flow. In her prior role as an assistant controller/accounting manager, it was her responsibility to manage accounts payable and produce individual financial statements and process monthly financial data for 73 branches of the firm.

As a member of ZAPATA’s accounting team, Nikki will be responsible for project accounting (budgets, billing, project set-up) and assistance with the month-end close process. She will prepare financial statements, including monthly account reconciliations and account analyses; review the accuracy of accounting transactions; and compile and report various data.

Nikki graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a minor in mathematics. (We’re glad she directed her career towards math and accounting!) While working full-time, she completed 30 hours of accounting coursework and passed two sections of the CPA exam but chose to pause her certification to become a mother and care for her children.

When she’s not at ZAPATA, Nikki spends time with her husband, five children, three grandchildren—and her friends.
