Tina Ford Joins ZAPATA

Tina Ford is the newest member of ZAPATA’s design team. Ms. Ford is a civil designer who is extremely proficient in AutoCAD with 15 years of experience that includes three years as a CAD program director and instructor. She is experienced in drafting all aspects of civil engineering designs in 2D and 3D formats.

Working closely with ZAPATA’s architects and engineers, Ms. Ford will prepare civil drawings, schematics, and construction documents for the firm’s new construction and renovation projects. Her work will focus on water, sewer, drainage, grading, and roadway designs for U.S. military and major utility clients. Additionally, she will perform quality control (QC) reviews focused on meeting all CAD requirements. 

Prior to joining ZAPATA, Ms. Ford gained useful experience working with developers on large-scale subdivisions and commercial developments, providing civil detail drawings and schematics for water and sewer main extensions and gas pipelines. She was responsible for obtaining state health department approvals for water and sewer mains, and she met with local and county planning boards and commissions to obtain project approvals. Ms. Ford understands surveying and creates topographic and boundary survey documents. She has experience in residential community design that includes lot line adjustments, American Land Title Association (ALTA) surveys, and easement plats with related legal property descriptions.

Ms. Ford graduated from Evangel University in Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in management, and she has an associate degree in drafting and design from Arkansas State University.
