Troy Evans Joins ZAPATA

ZAPATA announced that Troy Evans has accepted a full-time position as an artificial intelligence (AI) innovation specialist. We are delighted to have him guide us through AI solutions that improve efficiency in our work.

Mr. Evans joined ZAPATA as an intern in 2023. In May of this year, he graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.

Prior to his internship at ZAPATA, Mr. Evans served as an intern at Carolina Blood & Cancer Care Associates; he was involved with the NOLA (No One Left Alone) project and gained database experience with Agastha, an electronic health record system.  In 2020, he completed a six-week cybersecurity internship with UNCC, where he learned core Python syntax through weekly projects, wrote research papers, and worked with a TA to organize a final presentation.

These internships have helped to prepare Mr. Evans for his role in developing and implementing AI-driven solutions to enhance productivity. He will collaborate with ZAPATA staff to design customized AI tools to improve workflows and automate task execution.
