ZAPATA Completes Sale of Environmental and Munitions Response Services Division

ZAPATA Group, Inc. (ZAPATA) today announced that the Company has completed the sale of its Environmental and Munitions Response Services (MRS) division under Zapata Incorporated to Dawson Solutions, LLC (DAWSON), a Native Hawaiian-owned company with operations worldwide. ZAPATA will continue to provide primary services of architecture and engineering (A-E) design and construction management to its clients, which services include security and protective design and project management.

Richards, President of ZAPATA. “Accordingly, we are realigning our offerings to focus on this growth opportunity which will permit us to maintain our high standards of products and services to best serve our clients.”

The sale of ZAPATA’s Environmental and MRS division marks a significant milestone: Since 1995, ZAPATA has provided munitions and explosives of concern removal/remediation services to the US Army Corps of Engineers and other Federal clients worldwide. ZAPATA and DAWSON, working together as partners since 2009, have completed over 40 MRS contracts. Under the terms of the sale, approximately 20 full-time Environmental and MRS employees will transfer to DAWSON along with multiple Environmental and MRS contracts.
