ZAPATA, in a joint venture (JV) with Black & Veatch, was awarded Contract No. W912PM23D0003 with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Wilmington District. This an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ), architect-engineer (A-E), multiple award task order contract (MATOC) valued at $49 million.
The JV will provide A-E support to USACE Wilmington District for their Civil Works and Military Planning and Design Programs, which includes both Military Construction (MILCON) and Sustainment, Restoration, Modernization (SRM) projects.

Black & Veatch (large business) and ZAPATA (small business) have worked together on three IDIQ contracts, completing 23 task orders (TOs) as a team since 2005. This solid relationship between the two firms and their commitment to serving the A-E needs of the Department of Defense resulted in the 2017 formation of this joint venture. The JV members are currently working together on multiple, large, and highly complex A-E TOs for USACE Norfolk District and at several Army Ammunition Plants.
