May 22, 2024ZAPATA is delighted to have electrical designer Airelle Robinson join its engineering team.
Ms. Robinson recently graduated from Western Carolina University (WCU) with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. She was a member of several organizations at WCU: Society of Women Engineering (SWE), National Society of Leadership and Success, Global Black Studies Club, and Math Club. Prior to graduation, she had a summer internship at an industrial tool and equipment company where she served as a technical support specialist.
As she delves into her engineering career at ZAPATA, Ms. Robinson, under the supervision of a professional engineer, will plan and design electrical systems and components, prepare electrical detailing and specifications for construction drawings, participate in site visits to document conditions, and manage electrical components within large-scale construction projects. She is currently working with her teammates on electrical security designs for several substation upgrade projects.
In her spare time, Ms. Robinson enjoys a competitive game of volleyball; in fact, she is on ZAPATA’s volleyball team that competes against other A-E firms in the Charlotte Area Architect’s and Engineer’s Volleyball League.
Welcome to ZAPATA, Airelle!
