Denis Belevitin, PE, SE, Joins ZAPATA

ZAPATA welcomes Denis Belevitin, PE, SE, to the company—and to Charlotte, North Carolina. The structural engineer has well over a decade of experience providing analysis and design of gravity and lateral structural systems constructed of reinforced concrete, structural steel, cold-form steel, wood, and/or aluminum. He has designed a variety of foundation systems supported by natural or engineered soils and deep foundation systems using timber, pre-cast concrete, and auger cast-in-place concrete piles.

As a member of ZAPATA’s structural team, the majority of Mr. Belevitin’s work will involve designs for new construction and renovations for DoD clients. He will prepare project specifications and drawings in accordance with the appropriate building codes, standards, and Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC). Additionally, he will serve as a technical consultant during planning, design, and construction phases; and perform independent technical reviews of drawings and participate in onsite inspections.

Mr. Belevitin grew up in the Republic of Kazakhstan where he earned his first engineering degree. Later he moved to Florida and attended Florida State University; there he received an Associate of Science degree in architectural design and building construction technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering.  Mr. Belevitin is a Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in three States and a Structural Engineer (SE) licensed in Georgia.
